I came across her site by accident. But she has given me so much of assurance to face life without fear. It is that what keeps us from going forward in life. Her strength and inspiration has been my solace. Thank you Susan. You were surely an angel sent for all the lives u have touched. If God be for us, who can be against us.

I am so sad to hear of the passing of Susan Jeffers. I have many of her books in my book shelf.
My first book I read when I was in my early 20`s and now in my mid 40`s I still re visit her books every now and then.
Of course Feel the Fear and do it anyway made a huge impact on me.
Recently I enjoyed Life is Huge.
All her books are a wonderful source of inspiration.

I was so sad to hear of Susans passing. She came into my life at a perfect time. I bought her tape "Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway" when I first came to Alaska. I was terrified of Bears and was unable to enjoy the beauty of Alaska because of my fear. Well, I was soon able to enjoy all of Alaska's beauty, but what really happend from the tape was something that took me completely by surprise. I was going through a rough spot in my life and it literaly changed my life forever. I had no idea that my fear of Bears would be the least of my wonderful learning/awakening. I learned to change my thinking and have lived my life in gratitude of all that there is in this world. Thank you dear Susan forever.

I am very sorry to hear of your loss, actually this is a loss for all of us but of course more personal to you. I have listened to a positive affirmation tape of Susan's for at least 25 years. I just started playing it again in the past month. That tape with Susan's voice and positive messages has buoyed me through many crisis and down times. I want you to know how much I appreciate Susan being in my life. Peace, Jan G

I just read the sad news regarding Susan passing away. I bought her book "Feel The Fear and Do it Anyway" years ago when I was going through anxiety and found it extremely helpful. I also have her wonderful little "Book of Confidence" which is full of wonderful, inspirational statements. It is a real pick me up when I need a little boost! I send my prayers and thoughts to Susan's family. Her work was and is vitally important for those of us sensitive souls who need some extra guidence going forward and fulfillling our dreams.

I was so sorry to hear of Susan's recent passing. She played an important part in my life during the late 90's when I was going through a difficult time in my life. I was fortunate enough to attend one of her lectures in London and I will be forever grateful to her for the strength I found after reading her fantastic book "Feel The Fear And Do It Anyway." I have Feel the Fear and Do it Anyway still on my bookshelf - it's been there for over 10 years! This book helped me to realize that fear is always with us and we have to accept that and then figure out how we live with it, move through it, and learn from it. Ms. Jeffers work has undoubtedly touched millions - she has left a wonderful legacy. RIP - you will be missed!

My sincere condolences to the family and friends of Susan Jeffers. I'm at a loss for the right words to express how I feel and yet I have so much to say about how much Susan's philosophy "feel the fear and do it anyway" has contributed to my life. I always refer to her book of the same name as one of, if not my most favorite books. I often share this book with others who would appear to benefit from her wise words, especially the words I call upon as needed, "I'll handle it!!!" I remember when I had a communication of a very personal nature with Susan via email; I was very impressed that she responded so quickly, easily and effortlessly and that she was so approachable. I was saddened to hear of her loss but also glad to know that she "handled it" with such dignity and from a position of power not pain. I will continue to carry the torch for Susan and to keep her book "Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway" on my nightstand and in my heart.

I am so grateful for Dr. Jeffers' life and work. I first read her _Feel the Fear_ book and listened to her tapes over 20 years ago. I was recovering from panic disorder and agoraphobia, emotionally struggling to finish college and begin graduate school. I learned how to "feel the fear and do it anyway." I have a PhD and am a college professor now, and know that Dr. Jeffers' work really helped me in a difficult time: beyond my anxiety disorder and into exploring new areas that expanded my life. I first learned about Dr. Viktor Frankl through Dr. Jeffers: that we really always have a choice in our attitude. When I teach Frankl now to my students, I remember Dr. Jeffers' introduction, and her help to me. Her memory is indeed a blessing; may her loved ones be comforted.

So sad to hear of Susan passing away. Mostly because I never got a chance to hear her speak. She changed my life. I still read her Feel the Fear daily, and recommend to others often. She would want us to feel the grief, then get stronger from it. She will live on forever with me :)

I can't count how many times Susan's words have put me back together again. Not on the straight and narrow, by any means - but helping me to make sense of what has been a very winding path. She had it all to give and she gave it, and her wisdom has kept me company at many times when there was nobody else to lean on. I feel that I have lost a dear friend - but also, privelaged that the times I was in need coincided with the years when her work was available. God bless and keep you, warm, witty, wise, unique and incomparable Susan.

Susan, You were ahead of your time. Unknown to you, you have had a tremendous impact on my life and my teachings...to others and to others. As I went through coaching school, I said "yes, of course, this is what Susan teaches." Your ripple effect lives on.

To Susan's friends and family: my heart is with your heart. I am sad and hurt with you. May we all reach to impact others lives the way she did. May we strive every day to make a difference to others the way Susan did.

May we experience all of the emotions life has to give in this moment....sadness/great loss, love, peace for Susan is a peace, celebration. Let's us all celebrate Susan's life and heart together.

Much love and light,

Hello. This is very unfortunate to hear about. :( Susan definitely improved my life, even though I am only in my teens. I was struggling with some personal demons, when I picked up her book "End the Struggle and Dance with Life". Never had I heard of such profound ideas in my life. Although I was afraid, I let go. I let everything in my life be, and Susan is the main reason for this burning love of life that I have. I will never lose my love for life, or my appreciation of Susan. She changed me, and will forever be the person that I look up to. Not only in the good times, but also in the struggle. She was a beautiful person, and I am so sad about this. May God treat her ike the queen she was :)

So sorry to hear about Susan's passing, though its sounds like she lived a wonderful life. Her book "Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway" helped me take a bold step to visit my sister in China in 2005. Later "Embracing Uncertainty" helped me recover from breast cancer as she had done in 2010. I'd planned to write on the website my story along with the others but knew she wanted a proper story written. Anyway she will remain an inspiration to me as I face new challenges in life. I can't forget her as we share the same last name and I aspire to be like her one day. I think I am a creative healer and teacher as she was. Love Barb

I am deeply saddened to read of Susan's death. I first found her book, Embracing Uncertainty, following a most traumatic loss, I was looking for a book to help me, and her words shined through like an amazing light, I read it cover to cover over an evening and the next morning and literally felt the tension drain away from my body. I still had much grief to get through but kept coming back to Susan's book and taking the messages to heart. I was quoting her just today as I am now trying to help another in a similar situation. I remember her saying "find some heroes", well Susan most definitely became one of mine as her book helped me so much more than any of the grief books I read and it continues to influence my thoughts and life. My sincere thoughts to Susan's family and may they find comfort in the thoughts here xx

Susan's spirituality and sense of humour and fun shone out through her books and C.D's. This really helped me to bring a sense of peace and calm to the anxieties and fears I experienced.I learned for the first time in my life to trust my higher self, and to look at my anxieties and fears with a sense of fun. Susan taught me how to trust myself and this has brought me to a place where most days it feels safe to be who I am. I am deeply thankful to her, and deeply saddened by her passing. This was a complete shock to me, and I pray that her family will gain strength in the knowledge of all the lives that Susan has touched and helped in her unique way.

Susan, before I read your book, I thought fear is a monster I have to conquer, and the thought makes me feel weak and powerless. What I like most about your book is the "do it anyway" part, which makes me realize that I do have a power to handle whatever comes in my life even when I am trembling with fear. Thank you very much for sharing the powerful stories with us.

I was saddened to hear that Susan Jeffers had died, but quite confident having read her inspirational book, that she will have approached her passing, with bravery and confidence, I dont know her Religeous views, but whatever they are I am quite sure that she will have looked on the bright side, realised that her "Spirit " can never die, and she will be on her journey now, into the next " Life " wherever that is and one day we shall all meet again,it is said IF you believe something, it IS true, so I choose to believe that we are all going on a journey, throghout our lives and beyond, to a better place, hopefully where we will meet up with those who have gone before us, and we shall all have a HUGE Party when the rest of us get UP there, wherever " THERE " is, and Im looking forwrd to it, Susan had a unique foresight and extremely positive attitude which the World is a better place now for her devotion to passing her message on, I wish her a safe journey into the next life and you know what, she WILL handle -it !! I really hope to meet her when I get up there. With love xx

I have an eight-year-old daughter who is learning how to deal with the pressure that comes with being good at sport and competing against an unknown 'enemy'.

I use what Susan taught in her most famous book/phrase: Feel the fear and do it anyway.

I don't teach my daughter to deny her feelings. I have instead worked with her to identify where that fear is and transform it into a friend. Her 'tickly tummy' is a cheerleader rather than an energy that stops her from getting a medal. She feels the adrenaline and uses that to make her run faster, swim more convincingly, and face the year 4 bullies with more groundedness.

Thank you, Susan, for helping me to be brave enough to hold the space for my daughter to be the fearless young woman that she is becoming.

And thank you for helping me be brilliant on stage.

I am sad you've gone. It's unlikely I would have met you face to face. That's kind of irrelevant, anyway, because you've had an effect on at least the three generations of my life that are important to me.

Thanks for all you've done and contributed.

Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway! has become my mantra since 2001. Susan's audio recording of the same name bouyed me through a rough time in my life. I've shared that philosophy with many friends in crisis and pointed them in her direction. Her legacy is a blessed one and will endure. I'm glad for her life and sharing it with me.

Susan's book, Feel the Fear and Do it Anyway changed my life completely. It inspired me to leave an unhappy marriage, when I had two toddlers under five and no income! It's helped me throughout my life and been a constant companion on my journey to a happy and fulfilled life. Without it and Susan, things could have been so different. A wonderful lady whose memory will live on forever through all the people she has helped. RIP Susan. xx

I felt sad hearing the unexpected news tat Susan Jeffers has passed away. Definetly she left us with a great legacy in her prolific writings and workshops. I have come across her great book 'Feel the fear and do it anyway'. Infact I have ordered a copy of it and shared it with my friends. Infact one of my friends ordered a copy for her own. This particular book of Susan is so encouraging and uplifting and when you read you feel that the author is speaking directly to you - with so much love, devotion and caring. Also I have subscribed in her newsletter and I always find it so educative. Thank you for the initiate that her newsletter will continue to be sent. Thank you Susan - you lived all out for others - what a great model to imitate.

Susan's first book I read was 'feel the fear and do it anyway', which was 20 years ago.

My fear I managed to harness where it started to work for me and not against me. From this my life started to work better and become enriching. Susan's books, tapes and affirmations still remian motivational.

I am truly sad to read about Susan's death, not just for myself but also Susan's family and all who have been touched and helped through Susan's work.

With blessings,

Susan you saved my life and everything I am today and the wisdom I pass to my 2 children comes from you. When I heard the news I thought "a light has gone out in the world" but I know now that it is up to each and every one of us to keep shining that light as brightly as possible. You gave so much to so many and I cannot begin to describe the inspiration your books have given me.

Thank you for everything. My love and thoughts go to Mark and your children

Susan's book feel the fear and do it anyway revolutionized my life. She showed me how to use affirmations and how to see life in a positive perspective. These tools gave me the ability to face social fears that held me back from happiness and kept me in a state of pain. Your book 'Feel the fear and do it anyway' flew off the bookshelf of the local library when I was desperately seeking something. Something to move me forward, something to stop me repeating the same old bad behaviours, which were hurting not only myself but those around me. I wanted to change but I didn't know how. The first step was going to the self help section, the second step reading your book. Many many steps since then, many many books and many many tears shed, with your help and the love of my family I have turned my life around. I love myself more than I ever have, and it is with that love that I now look forward every single morning to what the day has in store. Three years ago I truely began the path of self discovery and I know with my hand on my heart that if your book had not fallen from that shelf for me to pick up and read the back cover I would not be celebrating my abundance. Thank you Susan. For your honesty, your truth, your comfort. You truely are an inspiration to the world. In love and peace.

I was given Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway by a family friend a few months ago and was incredibly skeptical to begin with. Although I have not yet finished reading it (i'm around 3/4 of the way through) it has helped me dramatically. There is no turning back for me now..

Thank you Susan for your inspiration, truthfulness and intelligence. My heart goes out to your family.

I'm so sad to hear that Susan is no longer with us, it's strange, the news came shortly after I lost my mother almost a month ago after a long period of suffering. The books of Susan, helped me enormously in this long period (3 years) of taking care of my very ill mother, when I had to be courageous and help her. Susan's book, Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway, helped me keep my will to start my own business, conquer fear, and having faith that I will succeed some day, even though I'm starting it now, after completing my duty towards my mother. Thank you Susan! Rest in peace!

First of all I would like to give my condolences to the family of Susan Jeffers. I did not know that she had passed away unto I went on her website. I was trying to think of the book Feel the Fear and Do it Anyway also I was trying to think of the authors name and I remembered Susan Jeffers. I learned alot from reading Susan's book example if you always do what you have always done, you always get what you always got. I am going through that right now...I am trying to change and take a different path. I tried the wrong way...now it is time for me try the right way. I would like to thank Susan Jeffers for helping me to see things in a different light.

E D's abr'd-words seem to fit : "Hope" is the thing's within feathers-flight. That perches in the soul, as it sings lifes-tune without a word and never stops for all : and listens.. Calling sweetest, even in the strongest-gales of lifes to be heard ; as it-'sores' as must, to be in all our lifes-storms, that do so abash this little lifes-love bird. That keeps us so many times warm. &Forever I have heard it, even in the chillest of lands, the trangest of sea's, highest mountains &vastness of deserts.. Yet, never in my worlds extremity, has it ask'd a crumb of me.. Aroha &Mana to you &your family S.J. God rest thee in peace.. A.J.

I was given one of your books, end the struggle and dance with life, about 7 years ago.I had been using heroin for 20 years, and had decided I'd had enough.I felt quite lost at that time, and your book helped me to realise that everything in life is a choice. This was a revelation for me,it helped me transform and move on.I passed the book on to someone else, thankyou. :)

Susan changed my life or at least my attitude to it. I was extremely fortunate to hear her speak in London in 2001 having read FTF&DIA and bought copies for all my close friends who didn't already have it. She was an inspirational woman who I believe has contributed more to the subject of true happiness (where there is fear there cannot be happiness) than any other author. It's rotten that she has been taken at the young age of 74 but she packed a lot in and has left a lasting legacy to humanity. RIP.

I was so sad to hear of Susan's passing. I found her book Feel the Fear at the same time as Louise Hay You Can Heal Your Life in 1996 and they both had a profound effect on my life. I do feel we go on after this life so hope you enjoy your journey and Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge in this world. xxx

Susan has been by my side since the age of 14 when my best friend and I read Feel The Fear and Do it Anyway. In the 25 years since, I have turned to this and her other books many, many times. End the Struggle and Dance with Life is one of my favrouites, and helped me through such a bad depression. Her words have always had the power to comfort and encourage me, and I have treasured that comfort for many a long year. She has truly helped me through some bad times in my life. The world will miss her wisdom and love, she has given so much to us all. God rest her beautiful, beautiful, soul.

I have just heard the news about Susan. I am bereft! I totally depended on her wise words in my 30s and read all her books avidly and so did my best pal. I'm ABSOLUTELY certain she helped me find my partner of 13 years, whom I'm still very happy with, and I often think: 'What would Susan do?' I'm just looking at one of her books on my bookshelf now. Opening Our Hearts to Men is FAB!!!! REST IN PEACE - A WISE WOMAN INDEED! XXXXXXX

I'm very sad she's not around to write more self helpbooks. I reread her fear book and it always makes me feel less afraid and able to take on any obstacle. She will be dearly missed by all of us that need a helping hand. She shared her fears and made me feel OK about my own.

I was so saddened to hear of Susan's passing. 'Feel the Fear' and her other books made such a big impact on me, and really got me on my feet when the going got tough, helping me to move forward at crucial times. She was such an inspiration and her loving presence was strongly felt, through her books, her affirmations and all that she created. I pray for ease in her ongoing journey, and send love.

My deepest sympathy and prayers to Susan’s family and friends. Although I only know Dr. Jeffers through her audio book of “Feel the Fear and Do it Anyway”, her message was straight forward, clear, and very profound. I picked up her audio book only a couple of months ago and immediately became a fan, where I listen to her voice almost every week. She was an inspiration and I’m certain that her work will keep on giving for years to come. Again, my empathy to her family and may she rest in peace in heaven.
